Evan Glazer, MD, PhD, FACS, is the Clinical Director of the Pancreatic Cancer Program at Michigan Medicine and the Associate Director of Clinical Research in the Rogel and Blondy Center for Pancreatic Cancer. Dr. Glazer earned his medical degree and a master's degree in public health at the George Washington University in Washington, DC. Subsequently, he completed residency in general surgery and completed a PhD in Cancer Biology at the University of Arizona, in Tucson, AZ. Dr. Glazer completed an NIH funded T32 training fellowship at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX. He completed a fellowship in complex general surgical oncology at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL. Dr. Glazer is board certified in complex general surgical oncology and general surgery. His clinical and research focuses are on pancreatic and liver malignancies. After completing fellowship in Tampa, Dr. Glazer joined the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, TN, and rose in rank to Associate Professor. He served as program director of the complex general surgical oncology fellowship there as well as associate program director for research in the general surgery residency program. His primary research interests are in translationa and clinical trials related to targeting bioenergetics in pancreatic cancer.
