Hyerim Jang is a second year surgical resident at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. She was born in Seoul, South Korea and was raised in The Woodlands, TX. After completing high school in New Jersey, she completed the accelerated 7-year B.A.-M.D. medical program at Boston University and Boston University School of Medicine. Passionate about research and the intersection of public health and surgery, she obtained her MPH in Quantitative Methods at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Hyerim plans to take several research years after her third year to further explore her passion in surgical oncology research.
