Matthew Hill was born and raised on Long Island, in New York. He received his Bachelor of Science at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY, before returning to Long Island to complete his medical degree at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. Dr. Hill has completed 2 clinical years in general surgery at New York Presbyterian Weill-Cornell Medical Center in Manhattan. He is currently in his second of 2 lab years at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center under the mentorship of Dr. Martin Weiser. His research focuses on the natural history, molecular biol- ogy, and treatment response of cancer of the colon and rectum. After completing his residency, he plans to apply for fellowship in surgical oncology and pursue a career as a surgeon-scientist.
