Lauryn Bailey is a graduate research specialist in the Purvis Lab at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from UNC–CH in 2025 and is currently completing a formal post-baccalaureate program through the UNC SOM. Her work focuses on translational medicine, integrating an OR-to-lab pipeline to examine how tumor subpopulations within liposarcoma adapt to therapy through cell-cycle plasticity and fractional resistance. She specializes in high-dimensional single-cell imaging and computational analysis to identify persistent proliferative cell states that underlie therapeutic resistance, work that motivates her future pursuit of doctoral training.
