Sam Wolff is an assistant professor in the Department of Genetics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a member of the UNC Computational Medicine Program and the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center. He investigates the non-genetic mechanisms that enable tumors to evade therapy, with a particular focus on fractional resistance in breast cancer and dedifferentiated liposarcoma. By integrating computational and translational approaches, he studies how therapy reshapes tumor cell states and uncovers vulnerabilities that can be leveraged to improve treatment durability
