Ethan Agritelley is a fourth-year medical student at Duke University School of Medicine and an aspiring HPB surgeon-scientist with a focused academic interest in pancreatic cancer biology, specifically in the mechanisms underlying lung and liver metastatic tropism. Prior to matriculating at Duke, he worked in Dr. Rosalie Sears’ pancreatic cancer laboratory at the Brenden-Colson Center for Pancreatic Care at Oregon Health & Science University. Over the past three years, he has continued his basic science and translational research under the mentorship of Dr. Peter Allen and Dr. Daniel Nussbaum. His work has focused on characterizing early liver metastases and the tumor immune microenvironment using mouse models, deep sequencing approaches, and single-cell and spatially-sensitive technologies.
