Christopher Vakkur is a third-year medical student at the Medical College of Georgia (MCG) pursuing a combined MD/Master of Clinical and Translational Science (MCTS) degree. He is interested in general surgery and surgical oncology, with research focused on outcomes following cytoreductive surgery and hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (CRS/HIPEC). He is an active member of the Surgical Oncology Clinical Outcomes Research Group (SOCORG) at MCG and the Georgia Cancer Center and has presented research at regional and national meetings.
