Kelly M. Herremans, MD, MS is a Complex General Surgical Oncology Fellow at the University of North Carolina. She completed her general surgery residency at the University of Florida where she also earned a Master’s degree in Biomedical Informatics. Her research leverages large clinical and genomic datasets to explore mechanisms of therapeutic resistance, biomarker-driven risk stratification, and the impact of social determinants of health on cancer outcomes. Dr. Herremans is committed to academic leadership, mentorship, and advancing equity in cancer care.
