Remo Alessandris, MD, is a PhD student in Oncology and Immunology at the University of Padua (Italy) and a Visiting Researcher in the Hepatopanceatobiliary (HPB) Service at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC), New York. He previously completed a Research Fellowship in the Department of Surgery at MSKCC following his General Surgery residency at the University of Padua.
His research focuses on clinical outcomes and translational research in hepatopancreatobiliary surgery, with particular emphasis on hepatic artery infusion pump chemotherapy, colorectal liver metastases, and intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma. He is actively involved in multicenter and international collaborative studies.
Dr. Alessandris is the recipient of competitive research grants, including the IHPBA Kenneth Warren Fellowship and the American-Italian Cancer Foundation Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship.
