I am a resident physician at the University of California, Irvine, pursuing a career in Surgical Oncology. My current interests are hepatobiliary and pancreas surgery, peritoneal surface malignancy, and foregut surgery. I completed my medical school training in addition to an internship in General Surgery at the University of Florida. I was then graciously welcomed to the west coast and am now one of the research residents at the University of California, Irvine, in the Department of Surgery. My current research efforts are focused on identifying the factors influencing the premetastatic niche in the peritoneal cavity leading to locoregional spread of gastrointestinal malignancies.
