Amanda L. Kong, MD, MS, FACS, FSSO, DABS is a distinguished breast surgical oncologist and Professor at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW), specializing in breast cancer, benign breast diseases, and disparities in care, known for her leadership in breast surgery and dedication to improving patient outcomes through research and clinical expertise, particularly in inflammatory breast cancer. Dr. Kong completed her MD at Brown University, residency at Mt. Sinai, and fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center, focusing on complex breast conditions. Her research focuses on breast cancer disparities and outcomes, breast cancer care in the elderly, as well as improving the quality of life for breast cancer patients. She has published multiple peer reviewed articles and book chapters in addition to being a sought-after mentor to students and residents. She is a Professor of Surgical Oncology and Section Chief of Breast Surgery in the Division of Surgical Oncology at the Medical College of Wisconsin and Surgical Lead for the Froedtert & MCW Inflammatory Breast Cancer Program.
