Dr. Francescutti is an Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery, Division of General Surgery at McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. She is a Surgical Oncologist based at the Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Center. Dr. Francescutti is a member of the Skin, GI and Sarcoma disease site teams at the Juravinski Cancer Center, with clinical focus including melanoma and other cutaneous malignancies and reconstruction, soft tissue sarcoma, and peritoneal surface malignancies. Her research focuses on knowledge translation and clinical outcomes, specifically survivorship care for melanoma patients. She developed the Canadian Surgical Oncology Research Consortium (CanSOR), supported by the Canadian Society of Surgical Oncology, furthering research across Canada completed by surgical oncologists and trainees. Dr. Francescutti is the Chair of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Training Specialty Committee for Surgical Oncology, Strategic Lead for Fellowships for the Department of Surgery at McMaster University, and Head of Service for Surgical Oncology for Hamilton Health Sciences. Dr. Francescutti is the Provincial Lead for the Cancer Care Integration and Disease Advisory Program (CI/DAP) at Cancer Care Ontario/Ontario Health.
