Caitlyn Balsay-Patel, MD, is a General Surgery resident at the University of South Florida and is currently completing a Surgical Oncology research fellowship at Moffitt Cancer Center. After earning her undergraduate degree from UNC Chapel Hill and a Master’s in Physiology from NC State, she received her medical degree from the USF Morsani College of Medicine, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Honor Society. Dr. Balsay-Patel intends to pursue a career in academic breast surgical oncology, focusing on patient-centered clinical care and surgical outcomes research.
