Justin "Jay" Bader, MD is a T32-funded general surgery resident at Yale New Haven Hospital who will be applying to Complex General Surgical Oncology Fellowship in 2028. He is currently completing his 2nd dedicated research year under the mentorship of Dr. Kiran Turaga where his research focuses on peritoneal surface malignancies, mesothelioma, and ctDNA dynamics in tumor progression. Jay has also lead the development and initiation of two clinical trials at Yale and is leading the National Peritoneal Surface Malignancy Registry project. He currently has 18 peer-reviewed publications, has given 7 podium and 2 plenary presentations at national surgical conferences, and has received 5 research grants. He strives to be a busy surgeon-scientist at an academic hospital where he can operate, lead a research group, and run clinical trials in surgical oncology. Excited for the opportunity to present at ACT and SSO and looking forward to meeting everyone!
