Dr. Dancey is an international leader in cancer clinical trialst. Her research interests involve linking drug and biomarker development, and clinical trials methodology, including development of novel trials for patients with rare tumours and melanoma/skin cancers. She is medical oncologiest at the Cancer Centre of Southwestern Ontario, Professor and Chair in Clinical Cancer Research, Chair of the Canadian Cancer Trials Group, Canada's national trial group and senior investigator responsible for Melanoma/Skin cancer trials and experimental cancer therapies and Scientific Director of the Canadian Cancer Clinical Trials Network which supports the conduct of academic sponsored clinical trials at cancer centres and hospitals across Canada. She is a Fellow at the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences. She received her MD from the University of Ottawa and completed her residency training in internal medicine and medical oncology at the University of Toronto.
