Dr. Jennifer Chen is currently a third year General Surgery Resident at Baylor College of Medicine and completed her MD at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. She previously completed a 2-year NIH T32 Surgical Oncology Research Fellowship at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center under the guidance of mentors Dr. Anthony Lucci and Dr. Wendy Woodward. Her research interests include utilization of liquid biopsy as a prognostic and predictive marker for patients with breast cancer and melanoma, outcomes and management of patients with pregnancy-associated breast cancer, and surgical education research focused on resident selection and assessment, program culture, and psychological safety within the learning environment.
