Dr Friedman is currently a general surgery PGY3 at the Rush University Medical Center and John H Stroger Cook County Hospital systems. During her 2 research years, she was a Surgical Oncology Clinical Research Fellow in the Jonathan Hernandez Lab at the National Institutes of Health implementing a novel ex-vivo perfusion system for the investigations of novel therapeutic agents and hepatic artery infusion pump therapy. Additionally, she collaborated with Dr Hernandez in transforming a complex learning-theory-based hepatopancreatobiliary education course for surgical residents.
