Tsuyoshi Konishi, MD, PhD

Dr. Konishi is an Associate Professor of the Dept of Colon and Rectal Surgery at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. After serving as the Head Attending of Colorectal Surgery at Cancer Institute Hospital in Tokyo, he moved to the US in 2020. He is taking leadership the complex MIS program and multidisciplinary treatment. He is internationally renowned for studying and educating lateral pelvic lymph node dissection in rectal cancer. Dr. Konishi has given more than 200 invited lectures at international conferences and published more than 150 original articles. He has been awarded from multiple major academic societies, including the ASCRS Barton Hoexter, MD, Best Video Award in 2019 and 2022.
