Dr. Magesh Sundaram is an Associate Professor of Surgery in the Division of Surgical Oncology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He completed his General Surgery residency training at ChristianaCare in Delaware and then completed an accredited Surgical Oncology fellowship at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He is the recipient of several educational and career achievement awards. Dr. Sundaram has served in several leadership roles in surgical oncology and surgery within academic and community healthcare systems. Dr. Sundaram has worked with the Commission on Cancer for a number of years to advance the delivery of high quality cancer care at cancer programs across the country. Dr. Sundaram has served on several committees for the Society of Surgical Oncology, the Society for Surgery for Alimentary Tract, and other professional societies.

His clinical expertise is in treating gastrointestinal tract, pancreas, and hepatobiliary, skin/soft tissue, endocrine and breast malignancies.
