Dr. Cherif Boutros is a surgical oncologist specializing in hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery, cytoreductive surgery with heated intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC), and minimally invasive gastrointestinal cancer surgery. He completed his surgical education and advanced training at prestigious institutions, including Paris University, Rutgers Saint Barnabas Health, New York–Presbyterian Hospital, and Roger Williams Medical Center.
Dr. Boutros currently serves as Professor of Surgery and Surgical Oncologist at Englewood Health, where he also holds the position of Medical Director of the Lefcourt Family Cancer Treatment and Wellness Center. His scholarly work spans geriatric oncology, gastric and rectal surgery, and cancers of the liver and pancreas. His ongoing research focuses on advancing non-resectional therapeutic approaches, liver regeneration, and outcomes of minimally invasive cancer surgery. He is actively conducting multiple clinical trials in advanced cancer treatments and has secured funding to support his clinical research initiatives.
Dr. Boutros is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, the American College of Gastroenterology, and the Society of Surgical Oncology. He is also a member of the American Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association, the Pancreas Club, and the Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Tract.
